My photography skills

I got asked to take engagement photos for my friend, Velvet's, daughter Morgan and fiancée Jesse. I wish I could do this for a living. We had a good time and it was sooooo much fun!

I'm nuts about Macadamia oil

Remember when Moroccan oil was all the rage? I do.

My hair stylist raved over the spray and it smelled so good. Over a year ago, I bought some styling oil and I've still got all most all of it. It seemed to weigh my hair down and make my curls limp.

Two weeks ago during my marathon trip to the hair salon, Atara introduced me to the wonders of Macadamia oil. My hair was so shiny after she put it on my hair.

This week (so I'm three days into this actually), I have been using Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Dry Styling Oil.

Since my hair is color-treated, a little on the dry side, can frizz, and I used a blow dryer on it each day, this is a perfect fit for me.

All you have to do is shake those wet curls loose after a shower, put a dime size drop in your palm and rub your hands together and finally run your fingers through your hair.  Then, style as you normally would.

It's also good for straight hair too!

Trust me it smells good and your hair will thank you for it!

I'm sure you can pick it up at pharmacies and beauty stores, like CVS and Ulta and it's not too pricey

Mason jar salads

Thanks to Pintrest I tried out mason jar salads last week with a healthy version of ranch dressing.

Greek yogurt Ranch
1/2 cup milk
1 cup of Greek plain yogurt
Ranch dressing package.
Mix and chill.

It's kind of tangy and its good for you too.

As for the salads, I ate four of the five I made. I think I need more variety.

Here is the placement.
Dressing
A dense veggie like chick peas, carrots or broccoli slaw shreds
Tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, and etc.
Raw mushrooms
Cheese
Meat -- ham or tuna -- in my case.
Choice of green leafy veggies. I use spring mix.

Pinterest has lots of suggested placements and recipes to try.
I did fruit cups for Paul and I for the next few days. I will blog about it later.

Landry turns 1 and my awesome cookies and cupcakes

Paul and I traveled to Rolling Fork for Landry's birthday at my parents' house in March after Spring Break. She was so cute and she loved cake and her presents. It was a spring theme. We used my bunny Easter basket and I also made some bird's nest cookies. Can't believe she's 1!

On Easter I made these cupcakes! They were cute and yummy.

Antiquing on Spring break!

Paul and I went to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky to buy antiques during spring break. My only complaint was that we lost 1 hour to the time zone and another to daylight saving time. That about killed me.
We went through one of the places where they shot the movie "Hoosiers," drove by the nfl hall of fame and saw snow! Enjoy the photos!

Just who is my BFF and who reads my blog.........

In January, I wrote a blog post -- "But You're my Person" and I got all girly and upset of my bestest friend won't be around as much.

And if you read my blog, you also know that I think about five people actually read my blog. I get an email at work from someone just dying to know who is my BFF.

Some may have figured it out by now but I like for him to remain anonymous at least until the summer rolls around.

My point in all this is -- You just don't know who is reading your blog!

I've been working on a blog post or two but just haven't been inspired lately. More is coming! :)
